Hello
If you are about to download the evaluation copy or purchasing the full version of Estimator 2.0,
I urge you to call me if you have any problems or questions, I know that it is a slow and time consuming process
learning how to use new computer programs and alot of you have the added task of learning how to use a computer period, Everyone always says their program is
(EASY TO USE) including me, but I can tell you from experience that all that means is yes it is easy to use if you know how to use it. So I am here to help you
(KNOW HOW TO USE IT).
I am not some large company or programmer that is just trying to make a buck off of the roofing industry without knowledge of what they need, (don't get me wrong I would like to make a living)
But I have 26 years experience as a roofer and roofing company owner.
I developed and used this application in my own company after trying many off the shelf software packages
that did not get the job done. Each area of the construction industry has its own ways and needs and as
hard as they try these companies that develop software to fit everyones needs, just didn't quite fit my needs as a roofing contractor.
Even though this application has grown since it's first inception it will still not do everything that some of the larger companies want and need,
but it was developed around the day to day tasks of roof estimating
not invoicing and accounting (maybe in the future).
I do not want you to waste your hard earned money on something that you will not use, but I am sure that if
you do use this application it will double your estimating productivity and you will have no doubt about the bottom-line profit of each job,
but I know that is not possible unless you know how to use the program.
You do need to know how to calculate material quantities as it will not do this for you, I know there are programs out there that will calculate
material quantities plus the inputted markup margin,
but those programs will never be accurate because they were not there to see all the hips and valleys on the roofs you are estimating.
As we all know there are no two 25 sq. roofs that will use the same quantity of material except for maybe track houses and then some of them vary.
I know that my Overview page says 30 days free phone support but lets be honest,
I will never turn away or charge anyone that needs help.
So please feel free to call me night or day with any questions you may have.
I have also added Estimator 2.0 FAQ and Estimator 2.0 Q&A Forum to the website to hopefully help resolve any problems you might be having.
